Starting her career as a dental nurse she soon progressed into specialist nursing. She has worked extensively in operational roles from Practice Manager to Multi-site Management and latterly Senior Operational Management. She has experience in recruitment positions within a corporate environment for recruiting dental professionals to the UK, and more latterly at the BDA as an assessor / consultant for the Good Practice Scheme, this was a natural progression after taking 16 Welsh practices simultaneously through the scheme successfully.

She has more recently concentrated on quality management and compliance areas within a dental environment and has set up Tooth Fairies with a very clear vision of providing quality professionals into positions within Wales and South West of England and developed the training centre in the past 5 years.

Debbie received her Fellowship from City and Guilds in 2011(this is the highest award conferred by the Council of the City & Guilds of London Institute, recognising outstanding professional and personal achievement. Fellows are people who have demonstrated excellence in their field, who have gained the respect of their peers and who can be considered role models for their profession)

To date the training centre holds accreditation with City and Guilds, ILM and NEBDN.

It is the first and only dental agency in Wales to hold Investors in People Award and has more recently received accreditation of the Small Workplace Health Award to Gold Standard.

Her positive, passionate and determined personality is the driving force within this business. Tooth Fairies has a full complement of qualified and experienced tutors with an excellent range of skills across the nursing course subjects as well as tutors who solely concentrate on Management qualification delivery as well as a highly trained support team in the centre.

Course development and improvement are ongoing with subjects being developed for current CPD opportunities.
Debbie believes that she has a very clear understanding of what dental professionals want from dental recruitment and training programmes and promises that the team will deliver excellent communication and service levels.

She is joined by her “Dream Team” a team who has experience in all areas of business, the team is able to deliver excellence and form the support systems for making the best use of Debbie’s expertise in this sector.

In her own words the centre would not be what it is today without the hard work and dedication of the whole team.

Debbie is still actively involved in roles outside of the company but all dentally focused e.g. GDC (FtP) BADN, NEBDN, ADAM.

In her spare time Debbie likes to spend time with her family (especially her two grandsons) foreign travel, ballroom dancing and keeping fit and active with her two spaniels.
